Carol Ann and Brent's Engagement Session

I had a great time with Carol Ann and Brent for their engagement session. What an awsome couple! They are planning their Red Lodge, Wild Flower Garden Wedding, from California. They came up for just a few days, to tie up some loose ends in their planning, and spend the afternoon with me. I had so much fun, they truly love each other and are not afraid to show it (I love that!). Thank you for spending the afternoon with me, See you in August!

Ashleigh and Michael's Las Vegas Wedding

Not only is this an amazing couple, but they had the best Las Vegas Wedding. To start the Bride looked incredible in her drop waist black and white gown, that was custom made for her, from Step N Out in Billings MT. She also had black and white feathers in her hair. The bridesmaids also had the feathers in their hair, and had on black dresses, with long white pearls. They all looked fabulous!!! We had people asking us all day if the were famous. Random people were taking pictures of the girls and wanting their pictures taken with the bride. Why not, she looked amazing! The day started out with the girls getting ready at the Venetian Hotel and casino, Then we were off to the Flamingo, for the wedding ceremony. When the girls and I got there, we snuck in so the guys and the groom wouldn't see us. The guy's looked great! (more on them from Keith in another post). The Ceremony was beautiful, the weather was perfect and everyone was happy to be there. After the ceremony, we relocated to Fremont Street. The Reception was at the Dome. Everyone had such a great time dancing and having fun. Thank you so much for allowing us to photograph your special day, we had such a great time. Viva Las Vegas. Not everything that happens in Vegas should stay there!!!

Ashleigh and Michael

It was still very cold in Bozeman when we did Ashleigh and Michael's Engagement session. But their wedding is at the end of April in Las Vegas, where it will be HOT, HOT, HOT! They will be wed at the Flamingo, on the Las Vegas Strip April 25, 2009. They are having a 50's themed wedding, I am so excited to see the wedding day, and everything they have planned. We (My husband and I) met Michael and Ashleigh at the 2009 Bridal Affaire, in Bozeman. They are a great couple, and we are so excited to shoot their Las Vegas Wedding.

Downtown Bozeman Montana explosion

I am from Bozeman, so when the radio news I was listening to said there had been an explosion on main street in Bozeman, I flipped! The first thing I did was start calling my family and make sure they were all OK. At the same time I was googling, the Bozeman Chronicle and TV news stations, to see what had happened. Wow, the images I was seeing were so surreal. I couldn't beleive so much of my beloved downtown Bozeman was gone. I just kept hoping that no one had been hurt. Unfortunatly, one person lost her life. My heart goes out to her family and friends, I am sure she will be greatly missed.

By the time I was able to go to Bozeman and see for myself the distruction, one side of main street had been opened. As we got closer to the explosion site, the tears welled up in my eyes, it was so real to see the distuction, my emotions just overcame me. I grew up here, these are the streets I know like the back of my hand, and now part of my own memories are gone. I'm sure some day the buildings will be built up again, and be even more beautiful, but for now I will just have to miss the old landscape of downtown Bozeman.

Farrah and Baun

We caught one good day of weather, after a big snowstorm the weekend before. Farrah and Baun are such a sweet couple, they are planning a summer 2009 wedding. Thanks for spending the morning of the Super Bowl with us.
